Bibby Sterilin has launched a new identity to coincide with the opening of a new ú5 million distribution centre at its UK headquarters in Stone, Staffordshire.

The new company name, Barloworld Scientific, and the new state-of-the-art warehousing facility were unveiled in March by Tony Phillips, Chief Executive Officer of Barloworld. The new central distribution centre, one of the biggest and most modern of its type, will help safeguard over 300 jobs at the companyÆs Stone headquarters, with the prospect of new jobs over the next six months. The 145,000-cm facility has a 10,000-sqm footprint (the equivalent of two and a half premiership football pitches) and houses 21,200 stock-keeping units, 4 k of racking and 2.6 k of truck guidance cable. The companyÆs investment in centralising its UK distribution at Stone, in the heart of the country and close to the M6 motorway, will help it reduce costs and deliver unbeatable customer service.
