Biacore International has acquired the FLEXChip system and related assets from the US company HTS Biosystems.
Biacore acquires protein-array technology
FLEXChip, together with the companyÆs own array-based system, provides an unrivalled position in the fast-emerging protein array market. Biacore can now offer solutions to meet the needs of a wide range of customers. The FLEXChip system provides an open, array-based platform and will appeal to customers who require the ability to study the interactions of hundreds of proteins and peptides simultaneously against a single sample. As with all Biacore systems, FLEXChip utilises surface plasmon resonance (SPR) for label-free, real-time interaction analysis.
