High-throughput inositol phosphate assay

Cisbio International, a developer of HTRF technology and services used in assay development and drug screening, has announced its IP-One assay system for use in high-throughput drug screening applications.

CisbioÆs IP-One assay represents a homogeneous screening platform that delivers precise and time-sensitive second messenger measurement, and also represents a functional means of investigating GPCR mechanistics occurring at the membrane level. IP-One, which is based on CisbioÆs proprietary HTRF technology, is the first high-throughput system that can easily detect inositol(1)phosphate (IP1), one of the major products of the phosphatidyl inositol cascade, which tightly correlates with Gq-coupled activity. IP-One is also compatible with diverse natural and chimaeric constructs (eg endogeneous Gq, chimeric G16 coupling) that can be expressed in various cell lines.
