Caught in the SpeedTrap

Barnstead Genevac has just launched the miVac Quattro, a centrifugal concentrator for biological samples.

With a fourswing position rotor the miVac Quattro can simultaneously accommodate up to 20 shallowwell microplates or eight deepwell plates allowing significant increases in throughput and slashing drying times. A variety of available rotors means that the miVac Quattro can remove water and organic solvents from biological samples in a variety of formats including tubes, microplates and vials. A new high-displacement pump allows the miVac Quattro to typically remove water up to 40% faster than traditional concentrators and it is very quiet when in use. Solvent removal productivity can be enhanced by adding the miVacÆs efficient SpeedTrap refrigerated condenser. This system will provide many years of reliable service even when used intensively and the intuitive controls allow inexperienced users to get first-class results first time with most samples.
