Chinese order marks milestone for DWS

Don Whitley Scientific (DWS) has despatched 21 miniMACS to a customer in China. Not quite æcoals to NewcastleÆ but supplying goods engineered and manufactured in the UK to the orient is a rare occurrence these days.

The order was obtained by a new distributor, Hua Yue Enterprise, working with DWS for the first time, and took two years to come to fruition.

Sales director Steve Robertson commented: “The miniMACS has been a very popular product and I am now happy to confirm that this has been the fastest selling product in the whole of our MACS range of workstations.”

The miniMACS was developed to fulfill a need for anaerobic and microaerophilic workstations for laboratories with limited space or low throughput. However, when used solely as an incubator, up to 400 Petri dishes (90 mm) can be accommodated.

The current order marks a milestone in the history of DWS, as it is the largest single order for MACS workstations the company has ever received.
