Corning products from Appleton Woods

Corning offers a wide range of plastic tissue culture vessels with several modified polystyrene surfaces. For example, the standard tissue culture treated surface promotes cell attachment and binding, and has been used successfully to grow cells for 30 years. The CellBIND surface improves cell attachment under difficult conditions, such as with reduced-serum or serum-free media, and results in higher cell growth.

Other products on offer include Corning’s new Ultra-Web synthetic nanofibre surface that provides cells with a 3D, in vivo-like fibrillar topography, available on 100-mm dishes and 96-well plates. Also featured is the new HYPERFlask cell culture vessel, which offers 1720 cm2 growth area in the footprint of a traditional 175 cm2 flask.
