Simple and rapid measurement of osmolality in body fluids and aqueous samples is provided by the Type 15 Micro digital osmometer from Camlab. This simple-to-use instrument, which handles small sample volumes of 50 ìL, provides a graphic display with menu-led operation and error messages in six selectable languages.
The osmometer offers integrated sample identification that enables every measurement to have an identification number of up to 17 characters or numbers (eg patient or case number). Input is possible through the keyboard or a connected barcode scanner. The instrument adds date and time to the identification number and stores it with the measured value to document the last 100 measurements and calibrations.
Other features of the osmometer include a cleaning function for the freezing needle, automatic defrosting of the sample slot and the unit’s low power consumption.
