Understanding water purification

A new website – www.waterpurification.org.uk – has been launched to help health service managers and laboratory staff understand and specify water purification technology. The new site, developed by Purite, a leading European manufacturer of water purification systems, provides the detailed information needed by those in medical and healthcare laboratories.

The new website contains sections that explain the differences in water quality across the UK, the standards that apply to different applications and the various technologies that can be used, including reverse osmosis, ion exchange and disinfection. The site also includes sample equipment specifications and plant schematics, providing a quick and simple method of producing initial site plans. Also, an ‘ask the expert’ facility enables engineers and healthcare managers to ask water purification experts at Purite for help.
