Capillary electrophoresis milestone

Sebia UK is celebrating the placement of its 50th automated capillary electrophoresis instrument at the Royal Preston Hospital. Developed with Sebia’s sound expertise and sophisticated technology, Capillarys and Minicap are innovative, fully automated systems.

Capillarys has a continuous sample feed that can process up to 80 samples per hour, making it ideal for use in high-throughput laboratories. Specifically developed to meet the needs of smaller clinical diagnostic laboratories, Minicap is based on the same proven technology but with a more compact design. Minicap can process up to 22 samples per hour and holds two reagents to allow flexible switching between assays.

Martin Hurl, Sebia UK sales manager, commented: “We are thrilled with the success of Capillarys and Minicap. With some customers already using second-generation instruments, it can be seen that the advantages of capillary electrophoresis are now widely recognised. As a global leader in automated clinical electrophoresis, Sebia provides diagnostic laboratories with continuously improving technology, trusted to produce only the highest quality results.”
