Oxford Biosystems has been appointed the exclusive distributor of Focus Diagnostic products in the UK. This agreement covers the Focus enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and immunofluorescence assay (IFA) products as well as the new range of molecular diagnostic products.
Focus Diagnostics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics, a major provider of diagnostic testing, information and services. The company has access to an extensive network of laboratories and patient centres, medical and scientific staff, and is a pioneer in developing innovative diagnostic tests.
The collaboration between Focus Diagnostics and 3M has resulted in the Simplexa molecular assays and the 3M integrated cycler, a real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) instrument.
