Binding Site relocates to Birmingham city centre

In March, The Binding Site Group, a manufacturer of immunodiagnostic products, moved its headquarters to larger, more ecofriendly premises in the centre of Birmingham, UK. Having achieved double-digit growth for many years, well above the industry average, this specialist protein company, has rehoused its 380 UK-based staff in a new six-storey building that will fulfil its need for growth over the foreseeable future. The new site is a reflection of the company’s success and shows its commitment to Birmingham, to its staff and customers, and to its future growth.

The new building, just off Five Ways in Birmingham, has an impressive range of sustainable features. It was built with a focus on key issues such as energy and water consumption and has provisions for rainwater harvesting. The building meets strict carbon emission restrictions and has solar control glass to minimise heat gains, while ensuring natural levels of daylight. The provision of bicycle racks and excellent local public transport links enables employees to limit their impact on the environment when travelling to and from work.
