Compact atomic absorption spectrometry

Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched a new compact atomic absorption (AA) spectrometer for dedicated and cost-effective graphite furnace analysis. The Thermo Scientific iCE 3300GF, the latest addition to the iCE 3000 series range of AA spectrometers, offers guaranteed deuterium background correction and automatic optical set-up, ensuring optimal sensitivity, reliability and accuracy of results.

Developed for a range of analytical applications across environmental, academic, clinical and food safety laboratories, the iCE 3300GF AA spectrometer includes features that provide high levels of sensitivity and efficiency for trace elemental analysis. The iCE 3300GF AA spectrometer offers an integrated furnace autosampler for preparing standards and intelligently diluting over-range samples, as well as an Ebert optical system. This significantly increases productivity by enabling automatic and unattended operation. In addition, the new instrument offers a special graphite furnace vision system (GFTV), which provides a real-time internal view of the graphite cuvette, allowing observation of sample deposition and drying behaviour and enhancing overall method development.
