Expanded hepatitis B reagent range

Hepatitis B is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis B virus. Although a vaccine has been available since 1982, it is estimated that a third of the world’s population has been infected during their lifetime. This infectious disease is still common today in China.

Virostat has expanded its offering of hepatitis B reagents including its Monotope and Omnitope antibodies and recombinant antigens. Specificities include surface antigen (HBsAg), HB core, HB ‘e’, pre-s1, pre-s2 and HB-X. Applications for these reagents include enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), Western blot, immunohistochemistry (IHC) and rapid tests.
