CoolLED’s single-wavelength pE-100 is now available in several different configurations so that the user can select the optimal light delivery to the sample. The pE-100 can be configured with a fixed 3-mm liquid light-guide, and also one metre and three metre long light-guides can be specified.
Delivery by light guide is particularly suitable where there is a need to minimise heat or vibration. Electromechanical interference can also be avoided so that only light of the desired wavelength reaches the sample. The pE-100 can be specified with any one of CoolLED’s 20 LED wavelengths, and an optional collimating adaptor is available for delivery of light to a microscope port.
The pE-100-WH1 is a simple-to-operate LED illumination unit that provides broad-spectrum white output suitable for use on the transmitted port of a microscope. Compared to a halogen source, LED illumination is controllable, stable and instant. Greater operational convenience is combined with repeatable illumination and results that can be compared and quantified reliably.
