Mast exhibiting at BSMT

Mast will be exhibiting again at the BSMT Spring Meeting, to be held at Public Health England, Colindale, on Friday, 20 May 2016. The one-day symposium ‘Assessing the Impact of New Technology in Diagnostics on Global Epidemiology: How Laboratories Make a Difference’, will discuss how laboratories identify and quantify infectious disease globally and how advances in technology has permitted more accurate reporting.

Visitors to the Mast stand will have the opportunity to discuss the Mast Uri System, a streamlined alternative to traditional urine microbiology testing that reduces ‘hands-on’ time while also being cost-effective and bio-friendly. by considerably reducing laboratory consumables and bio-hazardous laboratory waste. Additionally, Mast is committed to fighting the ongoing battle against antibiotic resistance, and as such offers the Mast Uri plate MPM-CRE for the detection of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae, which can be implemented into any Mast Uri System testing schedule. Mast will also present its extensive range of mastdiscs combi for the detection of carbapenemase, ESBL and AmpC enzyme production in Enterobacteriaceae. The mastdiscs combi are manufactured in matched pairs to eliminate erroneous results due to content variation. [email protected]
