As part of an overall managed service contract to support the largest pathology group in the UK, North West London Pathology (NWLP), announced recently by Abbott, Stago UK is to be the third-party supplier providing haemostasis solutions.
North West London Pathology spans nine hospitals with seven laboratories serving a population of approximately two million people and processing a total pathology workload of 26 million tests per year, of which 1.2 million is coagulation.
This is the largest UK installation that Stago has supported and involves 13 STA R Max2 analysers across seven sites. The high-throughput STA R Max2 is the latest member of Stago’s Max Generation of haemostasis analysers. “The appointment to provide coagulation services to NWLP demonstrates how well Stago’s offering fits the current drive towards larger hub-and-spoke networks,” said Gill Eyre, Stago’s new sales and marketing manager.
