Alan Wainwright nominated IFBLS President-Elect

The International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science (IFBLS) is a not-for-profit organisation made up of international member associations that represent biomedical laboratory scientists across the world, and has a direct input into the World Health Organization (WHO) development of policy and standards.

Since 2015, Alan Wainwright (IBMS Executive Head of Education) has been the IBMS representative at IFBLS meetings as the Chief Delegate, and has promoted the work of the IBMS as an international speaker on education, training and CPD. Over the past two years, Alan has also contributed to the work of the IFBLS in the key areas of Member Liaison Strategy, Student Forum, and International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO) Task Group.

Alan was elected to the IFBLS Board of Directors in 2016, and recently nominated as IFBLS President-Elect.
