Menarini and QuantuMDx introduce new Q-POC PCR device

QuantuMDx and its exclusive UK distributor Menarini are launching the new Q-POC rapid, point-of-care PCR testing device for SARS-CoV-2.

The need for speed when accurately diagnosing SARS-CoV-2 is something Menarini and QuantuMDx have recognized.  Therefore, with our exclusive distribution agreement, we bring you Q-POC, the new rapid point of care PCR testing device with 100% coverage of all known strains.  With reliable results in just 30 minutes, Q-POC not only keeps emergency departments moving but reduces patient anxiety with the eradication of a previous 72 hour wait period for results. Ease of use is built in at every stage including a comfortable mid nasal swab, portability with battery or mains power and a variant proof 3-gene target assay with embedded quality controls.  Everything needed to complete testing is sealed within each cassette allowing for full automation and alleviating risk of contamination. Q-POC also looks to the future with the imminent release of a multiplex cartridge for identification of the common winter respiratory infections, SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A+B and RSV.
