New partnership brings AI oncology pathology applications to Aperio AI store

Leica Biosystems has entered into a new commercial partnership with DiaDeep, a Lyon-based company specialising in medical AI for oncology pathology, which will see DiaDeep’s AI applications available through the Aperio AI Store.

DiaDeep’s solutions will integrate seamlessly with the Aperio HALO AP image management system, enabling pathologists to access AI-powered insights within their existing digital workflows. This collaboration brings together DiaDeep’s expertise in artificial intelligence and oncology with Leica Biosystems’ extensive global footprint and leadership in digital pathology. The Aperio AI Store is a curated platform providing access to a wide range of advanced AI tools.

Together, the companies aim to support the growing demand for scalable, interoperable AI solutions that can enhance workflows, improve efficiency, and support research and clinical development in pathology.

“Pathologists face growing complexity on every slide, often with less time to deliver answers,” said Sanae Salhi, CEO of DiaDeep. “We serve as their copilot, automating quantification so their expertise can focus where it has the greatest impact. This agreement helps make that possible for more pathologists.”

“We are excited to welcome DiaDeep to the growing ecosystem of AI-enabled applications available through the Aperio AI Store,” said Naveen Chandra, Vice President and General Manager of Digital Pathology at Leica Biosystems. “Collaborating with innovative companies like DiaDeep enables us to combine complementary technologies, deep expertise, and global scale to help address some of the most complex challenges in pathology. By delivering integrated solutions within Aperio HALO AP software that align with real-world laboratory workflows, we can help pathologists adopt AI more seamlessly, reduce operational complexity, and drive meaningful outcomes."

This agreement highlights the increasing importance of AI in pathology and reflects a shared commitment from both organisations to advance cancer diagnostics through accessible, integrated digital solutions. By combining trusted digital pathology infrastructure with innovative AI applications, Leica Biosystems and DiaDeep are helping laboratories accelerate their adoption of next-generation technologies.

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Aperio HALO AP is CE-IVDR marked in the EU.
