Una Health marks Femme Health anniversary

Una Health, the Stoke-on-Trent based specialist healthcare diagnostics company, is celebrating the two year anniversary of its consumer division, Femme Health - founded to bridge the gap between clinical diagnostics and women’s everyday health questions.

Femme, an online direct to consumer brand, offers a range of products for periods, fertility and the menopause. As such, the brand aligns perfectly with Una’s wider mission to improve diagnostics and healthcare for women, drawing on the established infrastructure, operational capability and expertise behind Una Health. This includes a highly experienced team, accredited systems and distribution capability.

Diversification into the consumer market also takes the company beyond the long procurement and sales cycles typically associated with NHS and professional healthcare markets.

Commenting on the milestone, Sarah Barnes, Operations and Business Growth Director at Una Health, said: “Femme was created because women are too often left trying to make sense of important health questions on their own. We saw an opportunity to bring together the credibility and capability we have built at Una with a more direct, accessible way of supporting women. Two years on, Femme remains an important part of our long-term direction. It allows us to take our experience beyond the clinical setting, while staying focused on what matters: helping women feel better informed and more confident about their health.”

As a privately owned business, Una Health has been able to take a long-term view of Femme’s development, investing in the brand while continuing to strengthen its core consumer offer. Femme also reflects Una Health’s wider ambition to grow as a female-led medical diagnostics business, with a focus on developing its people internally and applying their skills across new areas of the business.

Laura Cartwright, Director of Strategy and Marketing at Una Health added: “Femme is not separate from Una; it is an extension of what we do. Our diagnostics experience, infrastructure and team have made it possible to create a consumer brand with real substance behind it.”
