Olympus has announced an upgrade to its CellCut laser microdissection system, the CellCut Plus. It features single- or multi-position plug and play automated CapLift with adjustable contact pressure, and offers full access to all motorised functions on the companyÆs IX81.
Interfaced with the manual Olympus IX71 and fully motorised IX81 inverted microscopes, and using ultraviolet (UV) laser and patented isolation technologies, CellCut Plus offers fast, reliable and precise dissection and manipulation of paraffin and frozen tissue sections, and even smears and cell cultures. Based on the CapLift isolation technology and MembraneSlide sandwiches, the CellCut Plus eliminates direct specimen contact, thereby ensuring totally contamination-free samples and extracts.
