Launch Diagnostics was established in 1990 and has been in business for 35 years.  It is one of the most successful companies in the United Kingdom’s diagnostics industry, being recognised by its customers and holding long term partnerships with many respected suppliers of diagnostic innovation. In March 2025, Launch Diagnostics was acquired by the Palex Group. Founded in 1955 and headquartered in Barcelona, Palex is present in over thirteen European countries and counts on a team of more than 2,100 professionals.

Offering an extensive portfolio of diagnostic kits and laboratory instrumentation, the Launch Diagnostics product range has expanded over the years to include a comprehensive range of EIA, single test devices, serology products, molecular assays, and instrumentation.
