Panagene peptide nucleic acids

Cambridge Research Biochemicals (CRB) has signed an agreement with Panagene to become the UK distributor for its high-purity (PNA) oligomers.

Peptide nucleic acids are synthetic analogues of DNA synthesised on a solid phase using Panagene’s patented BTS chemistry. Panagene has a worldwide exclusive licence from the Copenhagen Inventor Group (CIG) that invented custom PNAs in 1991.

Emily Humphrys, commercial director at CRB, said: ‘We aim to expand our product offering to customers, and this latest deal ensures we are able to provide one of the hottest technologies. This adds custom PNA synthesis, catalogue PNA monomers and custom PNA microarrays to our extensive portfolio of custom peptide synthesis products.”
