Evolution of automated ELISA processing

Tecan has launched the Freedom EVOlyzer-2 for fully guided, automated processing of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) procedures through its new-generation EVOlution 2.0 software, which offers an exceptionally user-friendly graphical user interface with optional touchscreen and a number of new application-oriented features.

Tecan's IVD-D compliant Freedom EVOlyzer has proved to be a highly reliable tool for automated ELISA processing in clinical diagnostics for more than 10 years. The open-platform Freedom EVOlyzer-2 automates ELISA kits from a variety of manufacturers and manages the entire workflow, from organising the initial worktable configuration to providing the final assay results, calculated for each reagent kit's lot constant.

The software's simple graphical loading dialogue and loading interface provide easy operation throughout the entire process, and its flexible scheduling options allow the order of assay processing to be defined and prioritised. Assays can also be grouped into profiles that facilitate routine tasks, and the system is suitable for working in batch mode using work lists or via an ASTM connection.
