Science of industry: review of a very specific Congress experience

The International Convention Centre in Birmingham recently hosted one of the largest gatherings of biomedical and life science companies held anywhere in the world. The following review provides a snapshot of a biennial event that combines the best that biomedical science and the in vitro diagnostics industry can offer.

In late September, the twelfth in the biennial Congress series returned to the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, the focus once again being on the very best that biomedical science and the commercial world had to offer. The exhibition was a multifaceted experience, which offered something for everyone, delegate and visitor alike.

Exhibition of excellence

Congress is the epitome of applied biomedical science under one roof. Its strength is the direct relevance of all its content to the service its delegates deliver and the roles they want to achieve. However, the lecture programme is not the only learning opportunity at Congress, as much was to be gained from experience of the recent event as an exhibition visitor.
