Congress 2022: COVID-19 safety measures

With less than a week to the start of the IBMS Congress event, the following is a reminder of the procedures in place to ensure that speakers, delegates and visitors remain safe.

The IBMS takes the safety of delegates, exhibitors and staff at Congress very seriously and accordingly will be implementing onsite COVID-19 safety measures that go beyond the minimum requirements that are in place in the UK.

Accordingly, all people entering the Congress areas of the ICC next month ((14-17 March) will be required to show a valid NHS COVID pass or evidence of a registered negative lateral-flow test taken within 24 hours of arrival. In addition, all attendees will be asked to wear a face covering, if possible, while on site.

All delegates and exhibition visitors will be checked by ICC staff for compliance with the above requirement and will be denied entry if unable to do so, unless able to demonstrate medical exemption.

When delegates plan their travel to Congress, they should allow a little extra time for the pre-registration COVID-19 status check on arrival, as lectures will start promptly at 9.00 am.
