Mast Group has announced a multi-region agreement with Nanōmix Corporation to distribute the mobile point-of-care eLab system in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Ireland and South Africa.
The new S1 panel will simultaneously test whole blood or plasma for procalcitonin (PCT), CRP and lactate in a single cartridge, enabling critical infection diagnostics for sepsis and pneumonia in just 11 minutes. The real-time monitoring of patients aids antibiotic stewardship, ensuring antibiotic treatment is necessary in the first instance, and supports adopting more targeted therapy, conserving the ‘last resort’ options for critically ill patients.
The portable eLAB reader and the S1 Critical Care assay, help to make informed treatment decisions at the bed side in minutes, while providing accurate, quantitative results comparable in quality to those provided by central lab testing.
