Back with a buzz – Point-of-care Innovations event returns

The first post-pandemic Point of Care Testing: Innovations conference took place during September in Bristol, with Tony Cambridge’s Thornhill Events bringing together a diverse programme of speakers to discuss the future of decentralised diagnostics.

Thornhill Healthcare Events in partnership with www.POCTInnovators.com recently provided a point-of-care themed meeting in Bristol, UK (September 2022). The Point of Care: Innovations event consisted of a wide range of expert speakers in the field of point of care, rapid diagnostics and biomedical science education. The event was well supported by the diagnostics industry with 29 vendors taking the opportunity to exhibit their solutions, make new contacts and network with the point of care community.

This was the first such event to take place in person post the COVID-19 pandemic – although online events were hosted during this time – and this fact combined with the offer of free attendance for NHS staff helped draw a healthy and engaged crowd to The Bristol Hotel, Harbourside, in the centre of the city.

The event aimed to bring colleagues in this essential area of healthcare together to achieve the following:
