UTS - revolutionising urine testing

Alpha Laboratories has entered into a strategic partnership with Clinical Design Technologies to market and support that company's digital closed urine testing system. This innovative technology offers unmatched clinical efficacy, simplicity, and accuracy, setting a new standard for urinalysis at the point of care.

Clinical Design Technologies’ UTS (urine testing system) is designed to deliver very fast, ‘Right First Time’ urinalysis results at the point of care, streamlining the testing process and providing healthcare professionals with accurate and reliable data.

UTS is described as the world’s only digital closed urine testing system, offering unmatched clinical efficacy, simplicity and accuracy. Its advanced technology ensures precise results and empowers informed decision making. Not only does it enhance clinical outcomes, but it also optimises resource allocation, reducing costs.

Each push-fit UTS-10 single-use testing cap contains the essential reagent pads for 10 test parameters: leukocytes, nitrite, urobilinogen, protein, pH, blood, specific gravity, ketone, bilirubin and glucose. UTS is an in vitro diagnostic device (IVDD 98/79/EC) designed and manufactured to exacting safety and other regulatory standards, and has been tested in collaboration with an approved, independent testing laboratory.

"We are thrilled to partner with Clinical Design Technologies to bring this groundbreaking innovation to our clinical customers and additional markets," said Rob Vint, Managing Director of Alpha Laboratories. "The UTS system represents a significant advancement in urinalysis, providing unparalleled accuracy and efficiency at the point of care."
