The IBMS Awards celebrate the people, teams and organisations making a real impact across biomedical science. From leadership and innovation to education, collaboration and public engagement, the Awards highlight excellence from across the profession.

With more award categories than ever, the IBMS Awards 2026 make it easier to recognise outstanding work wherever it is happening. Whether you are nominating yourself, a colleague, a team or an organisation, a nomination helps ensure achievements are seen and valued.

The award categories are as follows:

The expanded range of categories means there are more opportunities to recognise: individuals demonstrating leadership, innovation or emerging talent; teams delivering outstanding collaborative work; and organisations driving progress through education, sustainability and partnership working

Nominations for the IBMS Awards 2026 close on 6 February 2026. Visit the website at https://ibmsawards.org/ to explore the categories, review the criteria and download nomination forms to get started.
