Ocean Optics provides fast spectrometry

For applications that monitor high-speed chemical and biochemical reactions, Ocean Optics has produced its fastest spectrometer ever. The USB2000+ miniature fibre-optic spectrometer can transfer 1000 scans per second into memory when connected to a computer via the high-speed USB port.

The spectrometer can measure optical properties over a wavelength band of 200–1100 nm, and can be equipped with a custom-selected fixed grating which disperses the light to the 2048-element CCD array detector.

Operating the USB2000+ spectrometer is easy. The user simply installs the user interface SpectraSuite software and connects the spectrometer to the computer via the USB cable. No other power source is required. SpectraSuite is a completely modular Java-based spectroscopy software that operates on Windows, Macintosh and Linux systems.
